Louis goes into his office and looks at the card he received from Arnie Berenson, when a messenger arrives and gives him a package.

The package contains a gift from Daniel Hardman and when Louis opens it, he is delighted to see it is an audio recorder that Louis wanted. He then hides Arnie Berenson's card as if now he knows he can side with Daniel Hardman and stay with the firm.

Meanwhile, Louis is "seduced" by gifts and promises from Hardman.
